Falaj Daris is the largest and one of the most important traditional irrigation systems (aflaj) in Oman, located in Nizwa, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. Stretching over 7 kilometers, it has sustained agriculture and supported communities for centuries. As part of the UNESCO-listed Aflaj Irrigation Systems of Oman, Falaj Daris reflects the ingenuity of ancient Omani water management in arid environments. It consists of underground and surface channels that distribute water efficiently. Today, the falaj continues to flow through Falaj Daris Park, offering a tranquil space for locals and visitors while preserving the cultural and environmental heritage of the region.
